Additional Post Allowance – Clarification: Railway Board Order dated 29.11.2023

Sub: Clarification regarding Additional Post Allowance.
Ref: Director/Finance/RDSO’s letter No.F/Fin./Misc. Corresp./Vol.II dated 09.11.2023.
As per the existing procedure, proposal for grant of dual charge allowance (now APA) requires FA&CAO’s recommendations for sanction of the allowance by Competent Authority.
In case FA&CAO/Head of Finance and Accounts is the claimant of Additional Post Allowance, the Finance Officer next below FA&CAO/Head of Finance and Accounts can put up the case to DG for sanction of such Additional Post Allowance.
