Inter-Ministry Cricket Tournament 2024-25: Circular Released
The Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board (CCSCSB) has officially announced the Inter-Ministry Cricket Tournament 2024-25, scheduled to kick off from 1st November 2024 at Vinay Marg Sports Complex, Chanakya Puri, New Delhi. The Board, under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions, has outlined all the relevant details for this much-awaited sporting event.
Entry Fee and Registration Deadline
To participate, ministries must submit entries by 28th October 2024. The entry fee for each team is set at ₹2,400, which must be deposited online in the CCSCSB account. Payments can be made via BHIM UPI using the provided QR code or through direct bank transfers to the following account:

Participants are encouraged to complete their registrations on time as no entries will be accepted after the deadline. Teams must submit the duly filled entry form along with photocopies of the identity cards for all players.
Eligibility Criteria and Team Composition
Each ministry can register only one team, and it can consist of a maximum of 18 players, including a coach/manager. However, certain categories of employees are ineligible to participate:
- Uniformed personnel in Defence, Para Military, or Central Police Organizations
- Employees of Autonomous Bodies, Public Sector Undertakings, and Corporations, even if administratively controlled by central ministries
- Casual/Daily wage workers
- Employees on temporary duty
All players must be regular employees, and ministries must ensure that the participants meet the eligibility criteria to avoid automatic disqualification.
Tournament Format and Rules
The tournament will follow a League-cum-Knockout format, with 20-over matches being the standard. In case of rain or weather disruptions, a minimum of 6 overs will constitute a match. Matches that cannot be completed before the semifinals will be rescheduled for the following day, with decisions made using the ball-out method if needed.
Each team must report to the ground 30 minutes before the scheduled start of play, or they risk forfeiting the match. Umpires’ decisions will be final and binding on all competing teams. Additionally, if a team fails to show up for their scheduled match, they will be barred from the tournament for the next two years.
