Subject- Re-imbursement cost of News Paper and purchase of Briefcase / Handbag for JCO’s of GE (Central) Delhi Cantt.

Please find enclosed copy of HQrs Office Letter No. AT/Army/TA/DA/ 4909/ Vol- X/ E- 2819 Dated 01.09.2022, wherein clarification on the ibid subject has been issued by HQrs Office.

HQrs Office vide letter dated -01.09. 2022 stated that Govt. Orders for reimbursement of cost of News Paper and Purchase of Brief Case/Office Bag in respect of entitled officers have been issued vide Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure, Office Memorandum No. 25(12)/E Coord 2018 dated 03.04.2018. How ever, similar orders extending the above provisions to service personnel and Defence Civilian is still awaited from Ministry of Defence.

It is, therefore, requested to take further necessary action on receipt of similar orders from Ministry of Defence.

Please refer to letter cited above under reference vide which clarification and necessary direction on the above subject was requested from this HQrs. office.

2. In this connection, it is stated that Govt Orders for reimbursement of cost of News Paper and purchase of Brief Case/Office Bag in respect of entitled officers have been issued vide Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure, Office Memorandum No.25(12)/E Coord 2.018 dated 03 04.2018. However, similar orders extending the above provisions to Service Personnel and Defence Civilian is still awaited from Ministry of Defence. The same may be communicated to sub offices under your jurisdiction.

3. This has been issued with the approval of ACGDA (Audit).
