DoPT Invites Applications for Two Young Professionals (Legal)
The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, has issued a circular inviting applications for the engagement of two Young Professionals (Legal) on a contract basis.
The Young Professionals will support DoPT in managing its increasing volume of litigation matters across various courts and tribunals. Their responsibilities will broadly include litigation monitoring, coordination with legal counsel, drafting support, legal vetting, compliance tracking, and maintaining legal records.
Key Highlights of the Notification
- Number of Positions: 2 (Young Professionals – Legal)
- Maximum Age: Up to 35 years
- Essential Qualification: Degree in Law from a recognized university with a minimum of one year of post-qualification experience in litigation matters
- Desirable Qualification/Experience:
- Master’s degree in Law
- Experience in handling matters before the Supreme Court, High Court, or CAT
- Remuneration: ₹70,000 per month (consolidated)
- Engagement Period: Initially for one year (contract basis)
- Selection Process:
- Scrutiny of applications
- Interaction/presentation before an Expert Committee
- Assessment based on qualifications, experience, and presentation
- Last Date to Apply: 29 December 2025 (5:30 PM)
