Last date for filing Income Tax Return 2014-15 extended to 31st August 2015 – Notification issued by CBDT under Section 119 of Income Tax Act 1991
CBDT, Ministry of Finance has issued notification for extending the due date of Filing Income Tax Return for the financial year 2014-15 (Assessment Year 2015-16) to 31st August 2015 from 31st July 2015.
Many tax payers represented to government to amend Income Tax Return format released by Income Tax Department in the month of April 2015 as ITR forms such as ITR-2 required deails of Air travel performed by the assessees that are that are very complicated to fill up.
After considering Tax Payers apprehension, Govt agreed to revise ITR forms by third week of June 2015
Now Govt has issued an official notification for extending the due date for filing Income Tax Returns 2014-15 (Assessment Year 2015-16)
