Calculation of entitlement to Earned Leave/Half Pay leave
The Department of Personnel and Training (DOP&T), has considered the method of calculation of entitlement of Earned Leave/Half Pay Leave to a Government servant who is removed or dismissed from service and in cases where the Government servant died while in service. Since the date of death of Government servant is treated as duty, the methods of calculation of Earned Leave/ Half Pay Leave eligibility has been laid down and suitable modifications to Rules 27 (2)(b) and 29 (2)(c) of the Leave Rules 1972 has been made. It has been laid down that these changes come into effect from the date of issue of the O.M.
