  1. This matter lingers on.
All concerned, or casually unconcerned, very bravely, try to soothe the nerve-on- edge services veterans’ frayed fabric of their morale, that the Modalities are being worked out, And when will this working out end, even the all mighty God must sweat to know. And, when this ‘when’ culminates, the grand long awaited announcement will be made. This prolonged delay serves the govt. well, for some veterans will be wasted out, thus,. reducing the financial burden of the Govt. How? Simple! Next of kin gets only 30% of the deceased veterans’ pension.
Mere lip service that the Govt are concerned with the welfare of the ex-servicemen sounds like an empty drum.

  2. Keep on increasing the implementation days like other Govt. NDA would bypass it & merge it with new CPC.
In india false promises are a common political facts. And its easy to fool EXSM.

  3. The problem of different rates of pension benefits to pensioners of successive pay revision decades was previously sought to be ameliorated by recourse to strategy that a previous decade retiree will get get pension not less than the minimum assured to his juniors- a sort of compromise.
when the sixth pay commission members finalised their recommendations they took advantage of combination of circumstances i)Any liberal recommendation will not cause great recurring liabilities since those who joined service after Jan 2004 are out of the existing pension scheme
and the beneficiaries were only those in service on date ii)Ambient Atmosphere of corruption with nethas themselves trying to make hay (fodder, cwg,,2g,coalgate etc) availed of the opportunity of granting themselves full pension even with 20 years qualifying service –
@ A TIME WHEN WORLD OVER THE THE RETIREMENT POT WAS GETTING SMALLER AND DISTANT -Benefits were shrinking and getting postponed all over the world and in India those in
with power to make or bend rules misused the opportunity!
NOW YOU know why circumstances of the problem created by decadent UPA left to be solved by NDA -Possibly only way is to meet the huge outlay is by recovering the loot and black money
from Indira Nehru Congress and their chamchas

  4. It is indeed great disappointment of Mr.Modi to all veterans of three forces. But, still there can be a decision by Mr.Modi on implementation of OROP, before we lose full hope of him .Let us wait for a good news before 2014 ends!!

  5. It is stated, ‘ ( a) to ( c): A statement is laid on the table.
Kindly post the details of the statement.
It is more than eight months the modalities are being worked out by the officials of the GOI ! When this wait of defence pensioners would end ? Are the civil pensioners right in demanding OROP and hoping to get the same ?

  6. In OROP how the service period rendered in a particular rank and huge differences in pay can be considered for calculation of pension?
