ECHS rates for purchasing hearing aids revised – Revised Rates ranging from Rs. 3000 to 20000
ECHS has revised hearing air purchasing limits from Rs.3000 to Rs.20000 as per the type/model list given below

REVISION OF RATES FOR PROCUREMENT ON PURCHASE OF HEARING AIDS FOR ECHS BENEFICIARIES
1. Ref following policy letters:-
(i) No B/49770/AG/ECHS/HA dt 30 Aug 2006
(ii) B/49770/AG/ECHS/HA/Policy dt 18 Mar 2012.
2. Rates for reimbursement of amount incurred on purchase of hearing aids has been revised by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare vide their office Memorandum No S.
14025/10/2002/MS dt 26 May 2015.
3. The revised ceiling rates fixed for various types of hearing aids (for one ear) are as under:-
| (a) | Body worn/ Pocket type | Rs 3,000/- |
| (b) | Analogue BTE | Rs 7,000/- |
| (c)(d) | Digital BTEDigital ITC/CIC | Rs 15,000/-Rs 20,000/- |
4. The cost of hearing aid shall include all taxes including VAT and shall carry three year warranty. The cost of Analogue STE/Digital BTE/ Digital BTE/ ITC/CIC type hearing aid shall also include the cost of ear mould.
