Notice Inviting Applications for Assistant Section Officer Positions

The Ministry of Home Affairs’ Disaster Management Division is inviting applications for the contractual engagement of two (02) posts of Assistant Section Officer (ASO) in the Integrated Control Room for Emergency Response (ICR-ER). This notice targets retired Central/State Government, Autonomous Bodies, or PSUs officers who previously held the rank of ASO at Pay Level-7 or equivalent. The engagement period is initially for one year and may be extended by another year based on requirements and performance.

Eligibility and Responsibilities

Candidates must have retired at the Assistant Section Officer level (Pay Level-7) or equivalent. The selected candidates will provide support for day-to-day operations of the ICR-ER and assist in various administrative activities, including procurement and supply management, facility management, and coordination with officers in the Administration Wing.

Remuneration and Benefits

The remuneration for the selected candidates will be determined based on the last pay drawn at retirement minus the pension drawn. Eight annual leaves will be provided on a pro-rata basis.

Working Hours and Terms of Engagement

The working hours are from 09:00 am to 05:30 pm, although flexibility may be required to meet the demands of emergency operations. The appointment will be based on work performance, and any extension of the contract will be dependent on satisfactory work contributions.
