Pension Revision of DoT employees absorbed in BSNL
Pension Revision of DoT employees absorbed in BSNL – Hon’ble Minister of Communications says “matter is being examined”
BSNL pensioners are being denied of their pension revision. The DoT is taking an adamant stand that, BSNL pensioners will get pension revision only when the serving employees are given wage revision. Some members of the Parliament are raising this issue with the government. Recently, Smt. Vanga Geetha Viswanath, Member of the Parliament has met Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Hon’ble Minister of Communications and has strongly demanded that, BSNL pensioners should be given pension revision.
The Hon’ble Minister has now replied to the letter written by Smt. Vanga Geetha Viswanath, MP, wherein he has stated that the “the matter is being examined”. This reply is certainly different from the earlier replies / statements given by the earlier Hon’ble Minister of Communications. The reply of Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, gives some hope, though it is too early to say that the issue is going to be settled.
