CVC Launches Vigilance Status Portal for Online Submission of Vigilance Clearance Proposals

The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) has launched a dedicated Vigilance Status Portal to facilitate the online submission and processing of references relating to vigilance clearances received from various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India.

The initiative is aimed at making the vigilance clearance process more efficient, transparent and accountable by moving the submission and tracking of vigilance references to a dedicated digital platform.

Vigilance Status Portal Launched by CVC

As part of its ongoing digital initiatives, the Commission has developed the Vigilance Status Portal for the seamless processing of online references pertaining to vigilance clearances.

The portal was officially launched on 27 July 2026 and is intended to streamline the workflow associated with vigilance clearance requests. According to the Office Memorandum, the new system is expected to help reduce processing time, minimise physical paperwork and enable real-time tracking of references.

Online Submission of Vigilance Clearance References Made Mandatory

The CVC has directed that all relevant references and applications for vigilance clearances are to be uploaded on the Vigilance Status Portal for processing.

The initiative is therefore expected to bring greater uniformity to the manner in which Ministries and Departments submit vigilance clearance proposals to the Commission.

The Office Memorandum has been addressed to all Secretaries to the Government of India, with copies marked to the Cabinet Secretary and the concerned officials of the CVC and NIC.

Physical or Email Submissions Will No Longer Be Entertained

A key change introduced with the launch of the portal is that the CVC will no longer entertain proposals for vigilance clearance advice received physically or through email.

Accordingly, Ministries and Departments are required to use the newly launched online portal for submitting vigilance clearance-related references and applications.

This marks a significant shift from conventional paper-based or email-based processing towards an entirely digital workflow for vigilance clearance references.

What Ministries and Departments Need to Do

All concerned officers and authorities in Central Government Ministries and Departments have been advised to take note of the new arrangement.

With the implementation of the Vigilance Status Portal, future vigilance clearance references are required to be submitted through the online platform. Physical submissions and proposals sent through email will not be entertained by the Commission.
