Subject: – Modification in Table B under EPS’ 95 for the purpose of calculation of past service benefit under Para 12 (3) (i) (b) of the scheme – reg.
Madan/Sir,
Vide notification No. G.S.R. 325(E) dated 14.06.2024, the Ministry of Labour and Employment, GOI has extended Table B under Employees Pension Scheme’ 1995 and laid down the corresponding factor for calculation of past service benefit under Para 12 (3) (i) (b) accounting for period further up to 42 years.
2. This will facilitate calculation of past service benefit in respect of who attain the age of 58 after a time span of 34 years or more as counted from 16.11.1995.
3. Steps are being taken for necessary modifications in the Application Software for handling settlement of pension claims. Till such time Field Offices may process such cases through 10 D special.
