Amendment to Indian Police Service (Pay) Rules

The Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) has issued a Notification dated 18.10.2011 amending the Indian Police Service (Pay) Rules.   A new proviso  has been inserted after sub rule (7) of Rule 11 in the Indian Police Service (Pay Rules), providing "that for the purpose of calculating the number of posts other than cadre posts in the Director General Grade in HAG+ scale (Rs. 75500 annual increment @ 3% – 80000), all cadre posts in this ran including that of Director General of Police (head of Police force) shall be taken into account.  Provided further that no ex-cadre post of Director General of Police (Head of Police Force) in Apex Scale of Rs. 80,000/-  shall be created.
