Subject: Relaxation to travel by Private Airlines to Service Personnel – Special Dispensation during Covid-19.
Sir,
I am directed to convey the sanction of the Competent Authority to grant one time relaxation for air travel by any private airlines (domestic) to Defence Service Personnel on duty/returning ex-LTC, who are stranded and awaiting to reach their parent units, only for a period of one month from 10 June to 10 July 2020 subject to the following conditions:
i. Booking of tickets using the airlines own official website or through authorized agents, viz. Ashok Travels & Tours, Balmer Lawrie & Co., and IRCTC
ii. Availing the cheapest available ticket in the entitled category among the options of various airlines operating in that sector.
2. This issued with the concurrence of Ministry of Defence (Finance/QA) vide their ID No.9(1)/Fin/QA/17 (Dy. No. 94) dated 09.06.2020.
