Engagement of Retired Section Officers as Consultants
Referring to Circular No: A-32013/06/2011-Ad.1 dated 31.05.2012 issued by Ministry of Home Affairs, DOPT has called for willingness of retired Section Officers or officers holding analogous posts for Engagement as Consultants in various Divisions of Ministry of Home Affairs.
The terms and Conditions in brief are
(i) The Number of consultants will be restricted to the number of vacancies at the level of Section Officer in a Division
(ii) The assignment of consultancy will be over as and when a Section Officer is provided against the vacancy or six months or till further orders whichever is earlier.
(iii) Applications of only such applicants can be entertained where the gap from the date of retirement is not exceeding 12 months.
(iv) The applicants should possess working knowledge in computer and having an inclination to work without the assistance of the supporting staff.
(v) The application should be submitted in the format prescribed (Click here download) and invariably accompany a copy of the PPO.
(vi) The remuneration will be paid at the rate of pay drawn minus Pension plus variable DA. No other allowance like Transport allowance, HRA shall be paid to consultants.
(vii) The consultants will have to register timings of arrival and departure with the bio-metric system.
The applications complete in all respects should reach the undersigned by 15th June, 2012 positively.
I have seen the above circular today i.e. on 13th June 2012. I am a retired Defence Official and interested to take up the assignment as consultant. However, the last date for submission of application is set as 15th June, which do not have sufficient time for doing the needful. What should I do under such circumstances?
Mr.Damodaran is correct. DOPT is circulating this OM only on 11th June 12, while Home Ministry is put a deadline as 15th June 2012.
Any way we have to send the application and keep our fingers crossed with the hope that Home ministry would extend the time and accept our application
