Rajya Sabha invites views of Associations/Organisations on Section 44 of the Principal Act and Clause 6 of the Bill of Lokpal regulations for Central Govt Employees – Meeting on 14.10.2014

Rajya Sabha Secretariat has to hear the views of various civil services officers’ unions/associations on the various provisions of the Bill and specifically on Section 44 of the Principal Act and Clause 6 of the Bill.

Subject : Examination of the Lokpal and Lokayuktas and Other Related Law (Amendment) Bill, 2014 by Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice.

 I am directed to state that The Lokpal and Lokayuktas and other related law (Amendment) Bill, 2014, as introduced in the Lok Sabha on the 18th December, 2014 and pending therein, has been referred to the Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice for examination and Justice.

2. The Committee has decided to hear the views of various civil services officers’ unions/associations on the various provisions of the Bill and specifically on Section 44 of the Principal Act and Clause 6 of the Bill.  You are therefore requested to appear before the Committee in order to present the views of your Associations/Organisations during its meeting scheduled to be held at 3:15 PM on 14th October, 2015 in G-074, Parliament Library Building, New Delhi.  You may also send your views in writing to this Secretariat latest by Monday, 12th October, 2015 for circulation among the Members of the Committee.  The same may be emailed to [email protected].

3. A copy each of the Lokpal and Lokayukta Act, 2013 and Lokpal and Lokayuktas and Other Related Law (Amendment) Bill, 2014 is enclosed.
