General Pool Accommodation for Defence Civilian Employees in Delhi – Defence civilian employees of many Defence Establishments do not have GPRA Eligibility
Directorate of Estates received representations from Defence civilian employees as well as Bhartiya Pratiraksha Mazdoor Sangh (BPMS) that they are not allotted General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) as per their eligibility. MoD has initiated the process to identify such “ineligible” Defence Establishments by calling details in the following format: to look in to the matter.

Ref.D(Civ) ID Note of even number dated 9th Oct 2014, 10 Nov 2014 and 22 May 2015 on the above subject.
It was brought to the notice that defence civilian employees working in many Defence establishments located in Delhi/New Delhi/Delhi Cantt are not able to avail the facility of General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) – allotted by the Directorate of Estates (DoE) because these defence establishments have not been granted eligibility by the DoE/their names do not figure in the eligibility list maintained by DoE. On a request of Bhartiya Pratiraksha Mazdoor Sangh (BPMS), MoD has initiated the process to identify such “ineligible” Defence Establishments by calling details in the following format:

The information received so far in respect of various Defence Establishments has been tabulated as in Annexure. The same is circulated for information/verification. Before the matter is taken up with Ministry of Urban Development for grant of eligibility to the defence civilian employees working in these Defence establishments, one last opportunity is given to the remaining Defence establishments that have not furnished the requisite information so far. The proposal for seeking eligibility for GPRA will be moved on the basis of information received upto 14 Sep 2015. Thereafter, it may not be feasible to include in the proposal information received subsequently.
