Educational/other qualifications for Group C Posts

Department of Personnel and Training has notified the rules regulating the educational and other qualifications for direct recruits for the posts which were in Group ‘D’ Scales prior to the implementation of the Sixth Pay Commission and have been placed in Group ‘C’ in Pay Band 1 (Rs. 5200-20200) plus Grade Pay of Rs. 1800/- in the Central Civil Services and Civil Posts.

It has been decided that the educational and other qualifications required for persons to be eligible to be appointed to Group ‘C’posts in Pay Band 1 – Rs. 5200-20200 plus Grade Pay Rs. 1800/- by the method of direct recruitment shall be “Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognised Board (OR) Industrial Training Institute pass Certificate from a recognised Institute”.

Calculation of entitlement to Earned Leave/Half Pay leave

The Department of Personnel and Training has considered the method of calculation of entitlement of Earned Leave/Half Pay Leave to a Government servant who is removed or dismissed from service and in cases where the Government servant died while in service. Since the date of death of Government servant is treated as duty, the methods of calculation of Earned Leave/ Half Pay Leave eligibility has been laid down and suitable modifications to Rules 27 (2)(b) and 29 (c) has been made. It has been laid down that these changes come into effet from the date of issue of the O.M.

MACP in HAG Scale of Rs. 67000-79000

The Department of Personnel and Training (DOP&T), had referred the Department’s OM dated 19.05.2009, allowing the benefits under MACP upto the highest grade pay of Rs. 12,000 in Pay Band-4.
