Department of Personnel and Training has notified the rules regulating the educational and other qualifications for direct recruits for the posts which were in Group ‘D’ Scales prior to the implementation of the Sixth Pay Commission and have been placed in Group ‘C’ in Pay Band 1 (Rs. 5200-20200) plus Grade Pay of Rs. 1800/- in the Central Civil Services and Civil Posts.

It has been decided that the educational and other qualifications required for persons to be eligible to be appointed to Group ‘C’posts in Pay Band 1 – Rs. 5200-20200 plus Grade Pay Rs. 1800/- by the method of direct recruitment shall be “Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognised Board (OR) Industrial Training Institute pass Certificate from a recognised Institute”.

The Department of Personnel and Training has considered the method of calculation of entitlement of Earned Leave/Half Pay Leave to a Government servant who is removed or dismissed from service and in cases where the Government servant died while in service. Since the date of death of Government servant is treated as duty, the methods of calculation of Earned Leave/ Half Pay Leave eligibility has been laid down and suitable modifications to Rules 27 (2)(b) and 29 (c) has been made. It has been laid down that these changes come into effet from the date of issue of the O.M.

It has been decided by Government to continue the following package of concessions and incentives earlier extended to Central Government Employees working in Kashmir Valley up to 31.12.2010 for a furthe period of one year with effect from 01.01.2011 to 31.12.2011.

Government has decided to extend the risk allowance till 30.06.2011 or till such time Risk Insurance Scheme is implemented, whichever is earlier.

Child care leave was introduced by Govt to all women employees in Office Memorandum No: 13018/2/2008-Estt.(L) dt 20.09.08 consequent on implementation of Sixth Pay Commission report.

The Department of Personnel and Training (DOP&T), had referred the Department’s OM dated 19.05.2009, allowing the benefits under MACP upto the highest grade pay of Rs. 12,000 in Pay Band-4. Now, consequent upon introduction of the new HAG Scale of Rs. 67000-79000 in replacement of Rs. 37400-67000 with Grade Pay of Rs. 12000 in PB-4, the DOPT has decided that, benefits of financial upgradatation under MACP Scheme shall be available

The Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) has revised the uniform allowance applicable to Group B, C and D officers of Customs and Central Excise Officers. As per the order dated 28-09-2010 to this effect, the existing rates have been doubled.

The Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT), has, in pursuance of the decision of JCM held on 8/5/2010 Item No. 57.31, decided that the benefits of MACP Scheme may be extended to the regular Staff Car Drivers of Central Govt. Ministries/Departments/Offices.

As we are aware, consequent to implementation of sixth pay commission, there is a uniform date of increment viz. 1st July every year. It is laid down that employees completing 6 months of service in the revised stricture as on 1st July will be eligible for increment.

The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, has considered the problems faced by the Pensioners/family pensioners or their heirs for inclusion of names of widowed or divorced or unmarried daughter/parents/dependent disabled siblings (i.e. brothers and sisters) in the Pension Payment Orders (PPO).

This is an import government orders for the employee whose spouse is also working in a government Services. Government has made its intentions clear. It’s committed to increase the representation of women in central government jobs.
