Regularisation of EOL for increment in certain situations
As we are aware, consequent to implementation of sixth pay commission, there is a uniform date of increment viz. 1st July every year. It is laid down that employees completing 6 months of service in the revised stricture as on 1st July will be eligible for increment.
In normal cases, the qualifying service of less than six months on account of Extra-ordinary leave (without medical certificate) between 1st July of the previous year till 30th June of the year under consideration shall have the effect of postponing the increment to 1st July of the next year.
However, now government has decided that period of such EOL could be regularized and payment of increment and inclusion of EOL period for pension could be considered in the event of certain situations such as civil commotion, and while pursuing higher technical and scientific studies.
