Andhra Pradesh Government Announces 3.2 Per Cent DA, With the latest increase approved by FM Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, the DA rate went up from 8.9% to 12.01% according to the neutralisation formula.
The Central Cabinet has taken a decision to enhance 6% DA to all central govt employees and pensioners from 01.01.2015, after which most of the states are also under the process of resuscitate DA for their state employees.
The Andhra Pradesh Government not to be left behind, has enhanced dearness allowance (DA) for State government employees and pensioners by 3.2 per cent following a DA hike to Central government employees. With the latest increase approved by Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, the DA rate went up from 8.9 per cent to 12.01 per cent according to the neutralisation formula.
The latest DA hike will be effective from January 1, 2015, and the DA arrears till October, 2015 will be credited to the GPF accounts and monetary benefit will be given from October salary paid in November. The annual burden on the State following the DA hike will be Rs. 1,010 crore.
DA orders are applicable to
(a) all employees of the State Government;
(b) employees of the Local Bodies and Aided Institutions including Aided Polytechnics, in respect of those drawing pay in a regular pay scale in the Revised Pay Scales, 2015; and
(c) the Work-charged establishment in respect of those drawing pay in regular pay scale in the Revised Pay Scales of 2015.
DA orders are not applicable to :
(a) Employees who opt to remain in the Revised Pay Scales, 2010
(b) Teachers working in the Universities, Affiliated Degree Colleges both under Government and Aided managements who are drawing pay in the Revised UGC/ICAR/AICTE Pay Scales; and
(c) Officers belonging to All India Services
