Single Entrance Exam (NEET 2013) for MBBS admission from 2013
Medical Council of India and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) are deliberating since last year for conducting a single Eligibility cum Entrance Examination for admission to MBBS Course available in all Medical Colleges throughout India.
This single Eligibility cum entrance examination is named as National Level Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
The main advantage of NEET for admission to MBBS is students aspiring for a medicine course need not undergo the prevailing stressful ordeal of writing umpteen entrance exams.
Now, CBSE has given a final shape for National Level Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) in the form of issuing a press release to the effect that Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in the academic session 2013-14 on Sunday, the 05th May, 2013.
Admission to MBBS and BDS Courses in the institutions approved by the Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India are subject to merit position of candidates in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (Under-Graduate), 2013.
