Railway Board has communicated to NFIR stating that HPCA / PCA to Kitchen Staff in Railway Hospitals is under consideration and delibrations of the Committee are yet to be received.
Any passing of ‘stop’ signal (except permissible signals and those permitted under certain rules such as Automatic signals) at danger by a loco without authority is treated as SPAD irrespective of distance travelled by Loco after passing a signal at danger. As per Finance Ministry Notification dated 06.11.2015 regarding levying 0.5% towards Swachh Bharat Cess on all service sector, Railway Board issued commercial circular implementing the additional cess with effect from 15.11.2015. Service tax of 14% and Swachh Bharat Cess of 0.5 % are chargeable on 30% of total passenger fare equivalent to 4.35% of the total fare in first class and all AC classes.
It was pointed out that Zonal Railways have not implemented instructions on fixation of pay in respect of ex-servicemen re-employed in Railways. Railway Board feels that there was a lot of confusion in the matter. Clarifications issued.
National Holiday Allowance is appicable to Railway Employees and same is sought to be revised by various Railway Federations. Railways Ministry’s stand in this issue is the said allowance can not be revised as such presently as 7th Pay Commission has been reviewing all allowances including National Holiday Allowance.
