Sub: Biometric authentication with Aadhar Data of Candidates appearing in Railway Recruitment Exam.

Gazette Notification amending General Rules of sub-section (ii) clause (b) sub-section (4 of section 4 of Aadhar Act, 2016 (18 of 2016) read with rule 5 of Aadhar Authentication for Good Governance (Social Welfare, Innovation, Knowledge) Rules, 2009 have been notified by Govt. of India Press and published under 6.S.R 507(E) dated 04.07.2022. A copy of the notification in Hindi and English are enclosed herewith for information.

Please bring the contents of the above Gazette Notification to the notice of all concerned.

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 30th June, 2022

G. S. R. 507(E).โ€”In pursuance of sub-section (ii) clause (b) sub-section (4) of section 4 of Aadhaar Act, 2016 (18 of 2016) read with rule 5 of Aadhaar Authentication for Good Governance (Social Welfare, Innovation, Knowledge) Rules, 2009 the Ministry of Railway (Railway Board) has requested the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Unique Identification Authority of India for facilitating the Aadhaar authentication services, on voluntary basis to establish identity of the candidates appearing in Computer Based Test before examination or during course of Examination conducted by the Railway Recruitment Control Board through twenty-one Railway Recruitment Boards.
