Sub: Retention of Railway accommodation by Railway officers/staff on deputation to Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC), Haryana.

On consideration of a request received from Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC) and in exercise of the powers vested with the full Board to make reasonable relaxation in public interest for a class/group of employees in all or any of the provisions regarding house allotment/retention, the full Board has decided that HMRTC may be allowed retention of one Railway quarter for Railway officers/staff who proceed on deputation to their organization subject to the condition that HMRTC would provide one leased accommodation to the officer of the concerned Railway, for house retained by it (HMRTC), as per the officer’s choice according to Railway priority list, at the rate of leased entitlement of corresponding grade of officers of HMRTC or will make payment to Railways equal to the lease rent entitlement of officer retaining the quarter. Normal licence fee will also be charged from the Railway officer retaining railway accommodation and remitted to concerned Railway administration. The above dispensation will be available upto 31.12.2023.

2. This will not be treated as a precedent for future cases.

3. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
