Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to state:
(a) the number of posts lying vacant under various categories in the North Frontier (NF) Railways during the last three years, year-wise; and
(b) the reasons for not filling up these vacancies?

STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO PARTS (a) AND (b) OF UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 1175 BY SHRI ABDUL KHALEQUE TO BE ANSWERED IN LOK SABHA ON 14.12.2022 REGARDING FILLING UP VACANCIES IN NF RAILWAYS
(a) : The details of number of posts lying vacant under various categories in the North Frontier (NF) Railways during last three years are as under :

(b) : Occurrence and filling up of vacancies is a continuous process and the vacancies are filled by placement of indents with recruitment agencies as per operational requirements. Arising of vacancies is an ongoing process due to retirements, promotions, deaths, resignations etc. and the same are filled up through open recruitments and departmental promotions as per the extant rules.
