OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Periodic Review of Central Government Employees for strengthening of administration under Fundamental Rule (FR) 56(j)/(I) and Rule 48 of CCS (Pension) Rules, 1972 [now, rule 42 of CCS(Pension) Rules, 2021] – reg.

The undersigned is directed to refer to the abovementioned subject and to state that a comprehensive instructions on Periodic Review of Central Government Employees for strengthening of administration under Fundamental Rule (FR) 56(j)/(l) and Rule 48 of CCS (Pension) Rules, 1972[ now, rule 42 of CCS(Pension) Rules, 2021] was issued vide DoPT’s O.M. No.2 5013/ 03/2019-Estt.A-IV dated 28.08.2020.

2. It is reiterated that the timelines indicated in para 4 of the aforesaid OM dated 28.08.2020, should strictly be adhered to by all the Ministries / Departments.
