Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:-
(a) the details of Cancer treatment facilities extended to CGHS beneficiaries;
(b) the details of maximum amount covered under Central Government Health Scheme for Cancer Patients;
(c) whether the Scheme has benefited Cancer Patients from Andhra Pradesh; and
(d) if so, the number of the beneficiaries benefitted under the scheme from Andhra Pradesh during each of the last three years and the current year?
ANSWER
THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE (DR. BHARATI PRAVIN PAWAR)
(a) to (d): Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) is contributory health scheme. The beneficiaries are entitled to avail cancer treatment in Government hospitals, Regional Cancer Institutes, private hospitals empanelled under CGHS and in non-empanelled hospitals also with requisite permission. Reimbursement of treatment expenditure is made as per CGHS rates by the concerned Department in case of serving beneficiaries including those from Andhra Pradesh. Cashless treatment facilities are available to pensioner beneficiaries including those from Andhra Pradesh. Speciality-wise treatment data is not maintained under the scheme.
