Tamilnadu State Govt grants additional DA of 7%
Tamilnadu State Government grants additional DA of 7% with effect from 1st July 2012 to employees and Pensioners
Government Employees, Pensioners and family pensioners belonging to Tamilnadu state government will get additional Dearness Allowance / relief of 7% in addition to 65% of DA / DR received by them presently. Payment of additional DA / DR will be paid with effect from 1st July 2012.
Like Central Government, Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief (in respect of Pensioners and family pensioners) paid by Tamilnadu Government for its employees and pensioners are calculated using All India Consumer Price Index – Industrial Workers.
As per the Tamilnadu Government Press release, the additional expenditure would be Rs 1,443.50 crore annually on the exchequer.
The move will benefit 18 lakh State Government Employees, Teachers, Pensioners & Family Pensioners.
