Sub: – Enhancement of amount of Ex-gratia payable to pre-1986 CPF retireesand dependent family members of the deceased pre-1986 CPF employees — regarding.
Please refer to Government of India, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Department of pension & Pensioner’s welfare OM No: 45/52/97- P&PW (E), dated 16-12-1997 sanctioning monthly payment of an amount of Rs.600/- as ex-gratia, to CPF beneficiaries who had retired from service prior to 1-1-1986. This amount was payable w.e.f. 01-11-1997. Similarly, monthly ex-gratia being paid to the widows and dependent children of the deceased CPF beneficiaries who had retired from service prior to 1-1-1986 and the widows and dependent children of the CPF beneficiaries who died while in service prior to 1-1-1986 had been revised from Rs. 150/- to Rs. 605/-.
2. Now, Government of India, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Department of pension & Pensioner’s welfare vide their OM No: 1/10/2012 — P&PW (E), dated 28- 06-2013 have issued orders for enhancement of amount of Ex-gratia payable to pre-1986 CPF retirees and dependent family members of the deceased pre-1986 CPF employees. Accordingly, the existing amount of ex-gratia of Rs. 600/- p.m. being paid to the surviving CPF retirees and the amount of ex-gratia of Rs. 605/- p.m. being paid to dependent members of the families, i.e., widows and dependent children of deceased beneficiaries are enhanced at the following rates w.e.f. 4th June, 2013.

3. Dearness ex-gratia equal to 50% of the enhanced amount of ex-gratia and Dearness Relief, as notified from time to time, on the sums of enhances amounts of ex-gratia and dearness ex-gratia shall also be admissible to them.
4. In order to revise ex-gratia in terms of the provisions contained in the said O.M, Ex-gratia beneficiaries are required to apply to HOO for revision of Ex-gratia amount. For this purpose, this office has designed format of applications for both categories of beneficiaries, copy of which are enclosed as Form — ‘A’ & Form -‘B’. HOO will submit the application of beneficiaries to this office after check and countersignature. It may be kept in view that Srl. No. 5 of Form — ‘A’ & ‘B’ must be completed/verified by HOO.
5. All Head of Departments are requested that copy of above Circular along with application form’A’ & ‘B’ may be prepared at your end on as and when required basis and sent to all HOOs, units formations under your Administrative control. It is further requested to issue instructions to all HOOs unit/formations that the contents of this Circular may be widely disseminated for information of all ex-gratia beneficiaries.
