Time limit for Direct Recruitment in Central Government Services

Department of Personnel & Training has issued an OM on Instructions regarding time limit for holding examinations / interviews from the date of advertisement for the post under direct recruitment should be completed within 6 months since the delay may deny the opportunity to fresh candidates who become eligible during that period.

Posting of employees who have differently abled children

Department of Personnel and Training has exempted transfer of employees who are taking care of  disabled dependents.  DoPT in this OM defines the word ‘disabled’ which includes (i) blindness or low vision (ii) hearing impairment (iii) locomotor disability or cerebral palsy (iv) leprosy cured (v) mental retardation (vi) mental illness (vii) multiple disabilities and (viii) autism.

Discontinuation of Interview at Junior Level Posts in Central Govt – DOPT Clarification

DOPT clarifies that from 01.01.2016 there wouldn’t be any interview for the posts of Group ‘C’, and non-gazetted posts of Group ‘B’ Category in Central Government Service. Skill Test or Physical Test is different from Interview, and they may continue. However, these tests will only be of qualifying nature. Assessment will not be done on the basis of marks for such tests
