A parliamentary committee has recommended filing of a single return in a year by a public servant to mention details of assets and liabilities.

In line with DOPT, Railway Board has extended the last date for submission of Assets declaration till 31st July 2016.
DOPT Office Memorandum dated 12.04.2016 stipulates that last date for filing return as on 01.08.2014, 31.03.2015 and 31.03.2016 is 31.07.2016

The last date for submission of the returns is 15.04.2016. CSSS and CSCS officers who have not yet submitted the returns are requested to submit the same immediately without waiting for the last date.
In addition to Annual Property Return which has to be filed under Conduct Rules by Central Government Employees, return under Lokpal has to be filed by all Central Govt Employees
