Details of the Position: Manager in Grade ‘B’

A. Type of Post

This recruitment is for the position of Manager in Grade ‘B’ (General Stream) on a deputation basis. Candidates selected for this post will not be eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion.

D. Period of Deputation

The appointment will be made on a deputation basis for an initial period of up to three years, which may be extended for an additional two years at the bank’s discretion. The total deputation period, including time served in any other organization or government department, will not exceed five years. Additionally, the appointment can be terminated by either side with a three-month notice.


E. Scope of Work

The roles and responsibilities for the Manager in Grade ‘B’ will vary based on the department or vertical to which the candidate is assigned.

1. Branch Offices

  • Business Development: Drive the growth of the MSME credit portfolio by onboarding new customers and generating business leads.
  • Appraisal of MSME Credit Proposals: Evaluate and process loan applications from MSME clients.
  • Customer Management: Build and maintain relationships with MSME clients, providing support through the lifecycle of credit transactions.
  • Credit Monitoring & Follow-up: Ensure timely completion of credit reviews, renewals, and monitoring of existing loans.
  • Recovery of Dues: Manage Special Mention Accounts (SMAs) and Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) to facilitate the recovery of dues.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit reports related to business performance and compliance requirements.

2. Risk Management Vertical (RiMV)

  • Risk Assessment: Assess and analyze risks associated with lending operations, including credit and operational risks.
  • Risk Mitigation: Develop strategies to mitigate financial risks, including the use of collateral and hedging techniques.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the organization complies with RBI guidelines and other regulatory norms.
  • Risk Reporting: Prepare risk dashboards and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to monitor risk levels.

3. Treasury & Resource Management Vertical (TRMV)

  • Treasury Operations: Oversee day-to-day treasury operations such as liquidity management and cash flow forecasting.
  • Risk Management: Manage financial risks arising from market fluctuations, including interest rate and foreign exchange risks.
  • Fundraising: Support the bank’s fundraising activities, including the issuance of bonds and other financial instruments.
  • Investment Management: Assist in the execution of investment strategies.

F. Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the position of Manager in Grade ‘B’, candidates must meet the following criteria:

1. Age Limit

As of August 31, 2024, candidates should not be older than 37 years.

2. Educational Qualification

  • Branch Offices:

    • Minimum: Graduation in any discipline.
    • Preferred: MBA/MMS/PGDM in Finance, CA, CFA, FRM, MCom, ICWA, or similar qualifications.
  • Risk Management Vertical:

    • Minimum: Graduation in any discipline with an additional qualification in Finance, Risk Management, or Mathematics/Statistics (e.g., MSc, MBA, PGDM).
    • Preferred: BE/BTech with qualifications like FRM or PRM.
  • Treasury & Resource Management Vertical:

    • Minimum: Graduation in any discipline with a qualification in Finance or Treasury Management.

3. Experience

Candidates must have at least 4 years of experience in an officer cadre in public sector banks, with at least 2 years of experience in the relevant vertical (Branch offices, Risk Management, or Treasury).

4. Pay and Allowances

The present pay scale for the Manager (Grade ‘B’) in SIDBI is ₹55,200 – ₹99,750 with allowances such as house rent, transport, leave fare concession (LFC), and medical benefits. Deputationists will have the option to retain the pay scale of their current employer or opt for SIDBI’s pay structure.


Selection Procedure

The selection process involves shortlisting candidates based on eligibility, followed by a personal interview conducted either online or face-to-face.
