The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), Puducherry has issued a notification inviting applications from eligible candidates for the post of Officer on Special Duty (OSD) / Director on a contract basis with fixed monthly emoluments.

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates should have substantial experience in administering Forensic Science Laboratories at the Central, State, or institutional level. Eligible experience includes holding positions such as:

• Director
• Additional Director
• Joint Director
• Deputy Director
• Senior Scientist

A minimum of five years’ experience in a post with Pay Level-12 (Grade Pay ₹7,600) is required.

Desirable experience includes exposure to the fields of:
Forensic Biology, DNA, Forensic Chemistry, Toxicology, Narcotics, Cyber Forensics, and Questioned Documents.

Salary & Benefits

• Consolidated Emoluments: ₹84,000 per month
• Additional Benefits: Government quarters and transport facilities
• Retired employees may apply; the engagement will have no link to pension.

Selection Process

• Eligible candidates will be selected based on an interview.
• The appointment is purely contractual, valid for two years or until a regular establishment is created, whichever is earlier.
• The post does not confer any right to future regular appointment.
