Nominations Invited for CSS and CVO Posts for the Year 2026
The Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) has issued a notification inviting nominations of officers for appointment on deputation under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) and for Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) positions in various Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) for the 2026 cycle.
According to the circular dated 10 December 2025, all State Governments, Cadre Controlling Authorities and Ministries/Departments have been requested to forward names of eligible IAS and other Group ‘A’ officers for the upcoming vacancies.
Key Highlights
- Nominations sought for Joint Secretary, Director, and Deputy Secretary level posts under the Central Staffing Scheme.
- Applications also invited for CVO posts in CPSEs and other organisations.
- Officers must fill the prescribed Annexure forms and submit complete, validated applications through their Nodal Officers.
- Eligibility conditions, cooling-off requirements, vigilance clearance rules, and CDR utilization norms are provided in the Appendix-I & II sections of the notification.
- Officers may indicate their station preferences; however, final allocation will depend on availability and suitability.
- Indicative locations for CVO posts include Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Jaipur, Chennai, Kochi, Visakhapatnam, Kanpur and others (Appendix-III).
- Only officers with complete and up-to-date ACR/APAR dossiers (up to 31.03.2025) will be considered.
- Officers currently in service or returning from central deputation are also eligible, subject to rules on cooling-off and debarment.
- Submissions must conform strictly to the format and instructions, and must be uploaded in SUPREMO by the designated Nodal Officer.
Who Can Apply (General Overview)
- Eligible IAS officers and other All India Services/Group ‘A’ officers meeting the service requirements for CSS and CVO posts.
- Officers who fulfil the minimum service years for JS/Director/DS levels, as specified in the notification.
- Officers with clear vigilance status and complete service records.
Submission Process
- Applications must be submitted through proper channel only.
- Nodal Officers must verify, validate and upload applications electronically.
- No application will be accepted unless it is validated and uploaded in the prescribed system.
