1. General Manager (Technical) – 20 Posts

Pay Scale:
Level-13 (₹1,23,100-₹2,15,900) / Pre-revised PB-4 (₹37,400-₹67,000) with Grade Pay of ₹8,700.

Method of Recruitment:
Deputation from officers in the Central/State Governments, Union Territories, Public Sector Undertakings, or Autonomous Organizations.

Educational Qualification:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 14 years of Group-A service.
  • Out of these 14 years, 9 years must involve experience in implementing infrastructure projects related to national or state highways.

Age Limit:

  • Maximum age: 56 years.

Deputation Criteria:

  • Officers holding an analogous post in their parent cadre in the pay scale of Level-13 or equivalent.
  • Alternatively, officers with four years of regular service in the pay scale of Level-12 or with nine years of regular service as Executive Engineers.

Job Description:
The General Manager (Technical) will be responsible for managing infrastructure projects concerning national and state highways. The candidate will oversee the design, implementation, and timely completion of highway projects.

Deputation Tenure:

  • Initial period of deputation: 3 years.
  • May be extended for an additional year with the approval of the Chairman, NHAI.
  • Further extensions of up to 10 years can be granted based on performance and Ministry approval.

2. Deputy General Manager (Technical) – 20 Posts

Pay Scale:
Level-12 (₹78,800-₹2,09,200) / Pre-revised PB-3 (₹15,600-₹39,100) with Grade Pay of ₹7,600.

Method of Recruitment:
Deputation from eligible officers from Central/State Governments, PSUs, Union Territories, or Autonomous Bodies.

Educational Qualification:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.

Experience Required:

  • 6 years of experience in executing infrastructure projects related to highways, roads, or bridges.

Age Limit:

  • Maximum age: 56 years.

Deputation Criteria:

  • Officers holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the pay scale of Level-12 or equivalent.
  • Alternatively, officers with four years of regular service in the pay scale of Level-11 or nine years in Level-10 in their parent cadre.

Job Description:
The Deputy General Manager (Technical) will support the implementation of various national highway projects and ensure compliance with project timelines and quality standards.

Deputation Tenure:

  • Initial period of deputation: 3 years.
  • May be extended by 2 more years with the approval of the Chairman, NHAI, with further extensions up to a maximum of 10 years.

3. Manager (Technical) – 20 Posts

Pay Scale:
Level-11 (₹67,700-₹2,08,700) / Pre-revised PB-3 (₹15,600-₹39,100) with Grade Pay of ₹6,600.

Method of Recruitment:
Deputation from Central/State Governments, PSUs, or other relevant organizations.

Educational Qualification:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in executing infrastructure projects related to highways, roads, or bridges.

Age Limit:

  • Maximum age: 56 years.

Deputation Criteria:

  • Officers holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the pay scale of Level-11 or equivalent.
  • Officers with four years of regular service in the pay scale of Level-10 or eight years in Level-8 in their parent cadre.

Job Description:
The Manager (Technical) will oversee the implementation of highway projects, ensuring that all aspects of project execution, from planning to completion, are in line with NHAI’s guidelines.

Deputation Tenure:

  • Initial period of deputation: 3 years.
  • Extendable by 2 years, with further extensions possible up to 10 years, subject to satisfactory performance.
