Treatment in Super Speciality Hospitals under CGHS

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi, has considered representations from CGHS  beneficiaries regarding problems faced by them in obtaining permission to undergo treatment at Super-Specialty hospitals.    The Ministry has  decided to simplify the procedure for obtaining treatment from Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) empanelled super-specialty hospitals.  Hereafter, if  CGHS beneficiaries  are desirous of getting treated in super-specialty hospitals, prior approval of the concerned Chief Medical Officer-in-Charge, of the CGHS Wellness Centre is sufficient.
