Relaxation of Upper Age Limit for Residents of Jammu and Kashmir for Recruitment in Central Government Service

The Central Government has decided to extend the age relaxation to all persons who had ordinarilyย been domiciledย in the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from the 1st day,ofย ย January 1980ย to the 31st day ofย December,ย 1989 for a further period of two years beyond 31st December 2013

New Delhi, the 30th September, 2014

G.S.R.ย ย 707(E).-Inย ย  ย exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 and clause (5) of article 148/of the Constitution and after consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor-General of India in relation toย the personsย ย serving in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department, the President hereby .makesย  ย the following rules further to amend the Residents of the State of Jammu and Kashmir. (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit for Recruitment to Central Civil Services and posts) Rules, 1997, namely.-

1.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  ย (1)ย ย  ย These ย rules may be called the Residents ย of the ย State of Jammu andย ย  ย Kashmir ย (Relaxationย  of Upper Ageย Limit for Recruitment to Central Civil Services and ย posts) Amendment ย Rules, 2014.

(2) ย They shall be deemed to have come into force with ย effect from the 1st day of January, 2014.

2.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  ย In the Residents of the State of Jammu and Kashmirยท ย (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit for Recruitment to Central Civil Services and posts) Rules,ย 1997, in rule, in sub-rule(3) for the figures “2013”,ย  ย the figures “2015” shall be substituted.ย ย ย ย ย  ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  ย ยท

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The Central Government has decided to extend the age relaxation to all persons who had ordinarilyย been domiciled in the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from the 1st day ofย ย January 1980ย to the 31st day ofย December, 1989 for a further period of two years beyond 31st December 2013.

2.ย ย ย It is clarified that nobody’s interest will be adversely affectedย by the retrospective effect being given to the rules.
