Sub: Implementation of TIA module; Technical Specification of hand held device for Traveling Inspectors of Accounts (TIAs)

Kindly refer to RBA. No. 42/2001 issued vide Board’s letter dated 4.8.2021 which envisages computerization of the working of the Travelling Inspectors of Accounts (TIAs). Various applications (viz. FOIS,PRS, UTS, PMS etc.) are already computerized at stations as are the data flows from these applications through TAMS for their accountal. Provision has been made by CRIS in the TIAs module of TAMS to enable viewing of the statements that the TIAs otherwise examine in the computer system, at the stations. Presently, TIA android application provides functionalities of forecast, movement and tour entry. Further provision of other functionalities like generation of reports and document upload is also underway. However, since the TIAs do not have a fixed office, it is essential to provide them with a hand held device to optimize the functions and utilization of android application (apart from TIAs module). This would enable them to function efficiently and effectively during their daily movement, irrespective of their location. The Technical Specification of the Hand Held Device, as approved by C&IS Dte of Railway Board is enclosed.

Necessary action for procuring and providing Hand held device to TIAs may kindly be arranged for optimization of their working, besides maintaining proper record of the devices.
