Sub: Engagement of retired para-medical staff (in Group “C”) and hiring of para- medical staff (in Group “C”) on contract basis.
Ref: Board’s letter No. E(NG)II/2005/RC-4/SC/2 Pt. I dated 21.06.2023.

In terms of Board’s letter under reference, the scheme for engagement of retired para-medical staff (in Group “C”) and hiring of para-medical staff (in Group “C’’) on contract basis has been extended up to 30.06.2024.

2. The aforesaid scheme has been reviewed and it has been decided to include the post of Dietician in the list of posts mentioned in para 3(a) of Board’s letter dated 21.06.2023 (RBE 82/2023). Accordingly, para 3(a) of Board’s letter dated 21.06.2023 (RBE 82/2023) may be read as under:-

  1. Retired employees through selection with a well laid down objective criteria for evaluation may be re-engaged in the following categories of paramedics requiring specialized skills to the extent of vacancies existing in each category. In the event of unavailability of retired staff, vacant posts be manned through engagement of candidates from open market mandatorily through GeM portal.
    1. Nurses
    2. Audiologists
    3. OT Technicians
    4. Cardiac technicians like ECG technicians, Perfusionists, Cathlab technicians
    5. Prosthesis technicians
    6. Dialysis technicians
    7. Laboratory technicians
    8. Pharmacists
    9. Physiotherapists
    10. Radiographers
    11. Dental technicians
    12. Medical technicians
    13. Respiratory technicians
    14. Optometrists
    15. Clinical Psychologists
    16. Health Inspectors
    17. Dietician

3. This issues in consultation with Health Dte. and with the concurrence of Associate Finance of Ministry of Railways (Railway Board).
