RBE NO.18/2024
भारत सरकार GOVERNMENT OF INDIA
रेल मंत्रालय MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS
(रेलवे बोर्ड RAILWAY BOARD)
No. E(NG)I/2023/PM1/12
New Delhi, dated 20.02.2024
The General Manager (P),
All Zonal Railways/PUs.
Sub: Conduct of GDCE Examination.
Ref: Board’s letter of even number dated 20.06.2023.
****
Zonal Railways were advised by RBE 80/2023 to notify GDCE vacancies for 4 posts of ALP, JE, Technicians and Train Manager and it was further directed in the said instructions that a common exam shall be held for all Zonal Railways. The planned exam has not been concluded due to unforseen circumstances. In the meantime, some of the Zonal Railways have sought Board’s permission to hold GDCE examination at Railway’s Level.
The matter has been considered carefully and it has been decided to waive the condition of a common examination. It is directed that Zonal Railways which are experiencing difficulty due to shortage of employees in notified categories included in RBE 80/2023, are permitted to hold the GDCE Examination as held earlier at their own level, under intimation to Board’s office.
Please acknowledge the receipt of the letter.
