DUE AMOUNT OF ONE RANK ONE PENSION

Will the Minister of DEFENCE be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government has any proposal to release/disburse the ‘one rank one pension’ due amount to the ex-servicemen on monthly basis from 1 July, 2024 onwards instead of disbursing instalment as given to them during the years 2014-19 and 2019-24;

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(c) if not, the reasons therefor?

ANSWER

MINISTER OF STATE (SHRI SANJAY SETH) IN THE MINISTRY OF DEFENCE

(a) to (c): Government has approved the proposal for revision of pension to Armed Forces Personnel w.e.f 01.07.2024 under the scheme of OROP. As per the decision arrears will be paid within one financial year.
