Enhanced Dearness Relief to Pensioners wef 1.1.2011
The Department of Pensioner's Welfare has decided that the Dearness Relief (DR) payable to Central Government pensioners/ family pensioners shall be enhanced from the existing rate of 45% to 51% w.e.f. 1st January, 2011.
The conditions of eligibility for various categories of pensioners and persons who have been absorbed in PSUs / Autonomous Bodies etc. have also been given in the circular.

As the DA crossed 50% land mark, it has an effect on various allowances for those in Service, which is not applicable to pensioners. In the present rate of inflation the DR alone will not help to survive. Hence Govt should come forward to merge the DR up to 50% . with the basic pension then calculate the new DR.

hi, can anybody guide to me positively.
I am a ldc of 2002 select list. what is the my Macp schedule and my bais is 7390 + 1900 grade pay. when i promote to UDC in july or august,2011. What will be my basic and transport allowance to meet me. I have 9 year ldc regular service in the grade of LDC. Can i elegible for promotion ldc to udcs. kindly reply to me soon.
