Abolition of LDC (Direct Rectt) vacancies
The Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) New Delhi, has issued an office memorandum today regarding the furnishing of vacancies in the grade of LDC for the Select List Year 2011. The Ministry has directed that as per the decision of the Cabinet, 85% of the posts in the grade of LDC, meant for Direct Recruitment, will have to be abolished every year till the strength reaches 15% of the sanctioned strength of the cadre unit as on 03/10/2003. Accordingly, the remaining vacancies has to be filled up with necessary reservation for SC/ST candidates.
