Salary to Employees
117. SHRI VISHNU DAYAL RAM:
Will the Minister of JAL SHAKTI be pleased to state:
(a) whether it is true that the salary to Jal Shakti Department employees in Jammu has not been paid since June, 2022 and if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether it is true that Jammu Jal Shakti Department Employees have staged multiple strikes and protests regarding the said issue and if so, the details thereof;
(c) the details of the disbursement for employee salaries under the Ministry; and
(d) the reason for the delay in adequate/required fund disbursement?

(a) & (b) As per Jal Shakti Department, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, no such issues are reported during the said period.
(c) As reported by Government of Jammu & Kashmir, the funds are regularly released as per approved budget and an amount of Rs. 20,842.36 lakhs has been disbursed on account of salaries to the employees of Jal Shakti Department between June, 2022 and December, 2022.
(d) Does not arise.
