Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance has clarified that House Rent Allowance applicable to Greater Noida is only at ‘Z’ class rates (i.e at the rate of 10%) as it was unclassified city prior to implementation of 6CPC.
Ministry has in the Office Memorandum No: 21(8)/2010-E-II(B) dated 01.08.2012, observed that some Central Government Offices located in Faridabad and Gurgaon are paying Transport Allowance to its employees at the rates other than that applicable to such areas.

The Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) referred their OM No. 21012/01/2008-Estt.(AL) dated 28.12.2011 vide which payment of Risk Allowance was extended till 30.06.2012. Now, the Ministry has decided to further extend the grant of Risk Allowance for a further period upto 31.12.2012 or till further communication, whichever is earlier.
Consequent upon increase of Dearness Allowance to Central Govt Employees drawing 6 CPC scales, the Govt. has decided to increase the rates of DA for Officers who continue to draw their salary as per pre revised 5 CPC scales. The rate of DA has been enhanced from the existing rate of 127% to 139% w.e.f. 01.01.2012
The Ministry of Finance has issued the order for enhancing Dearness Allowance from 58% to 65% with effect from 1st January 2012.
