The Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) has Ordered that Saharanpur city (within its Municipal limits) in Uttar Pradesh shall stand re-classified as “Y” class city for the purpose of grant of House Rent Allowance to the Central Government employees posted there. These orders shall be effective from 1st June, 2011.

The Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) has referred its O.M. No. 3/2/2010-CS.II dated 31st December, 2010 whereby cadres were permitted to continue the ad-hoc appointments in the UD Grade of CSCS up to 30.06.2011. Now the DOPT has reviewed the continuation of the ad-hoc appointments in the U.D grade made by the cadres. Since availability of regular UDCs through normal modes of recruitment prescribed under the CSCS Rules may take some more time, it has been decided that the period of ad-hoc appointment of those UDCs wh

as per existing Railway provisions Girl Students upto graduation are eligible for Free Monthly Season tickets for travel between stations serving their school/college to residence.

Now, the Railway Ministry has decided to extend the above mentioned concession to Girl students who are pursuing professional/vocational courses also upto the level of graduation.

The Controller General of Defence Accounts (DGCA) New Delhi, has considered the references seeking clarifications as to how to determine the grade pay of those non matriculate Group ‘D’ employees who retired or died in harness after the notification of RPR 2008 but before being imparted the requisite training to be eligible for grant of Grade Pay of Rs. 1800/- in Pay Band-1.

The Department of Personnel and Trainng (DOPT) had, vide their Orders dated 26.05.2010, 03.09.2010 and 11.11.2010 granted adhoc promotions of Section Officers of the CSS to the Under Secretary grade of the CSS. Now the DOPT has decided to approve the extension of ad-hoc promotion of the Under Secretaries covered in the aforementioned orders upto 31.05.2012 or till posts are filled up on regular basis, whichever is earlier.

The Department of Pensions and Pensioners’ Welfare, New Delhi, has notified the various amendments to CCS (Pension) Rules, 1972. The proposed amendments to the rules bring changes to the quantum of minimum pension, method of calculation of “emoluments”, etc

The Department of Personnel and Training has decided that the immovable property returns submitted by members of all Group ‘A’ Services of the Central Government for the year 2010 i.e. as on 01 .01.2011 will be placed in public domain by the respective cadre controlling authorities by 31.05.2011.

DOPT has decided that to ensure that the DPC proceedings are held on schedule and without any necessity to over look the decisions given by the Competent Authority while upgrading the grading in the APAR without specific reasons and justifications
