Subject: Annual Medical Examination Scheme for ICAS officers of and above the age of 40 years- reg.
The scheme of Annual Medical Checkup for Group ‘A’ officers of Central Civil Services /posts of and above the age of 40 years was introduced by DoPT vide its OM NO. 21011/1/2009-Estt. (A) dated ist Feb. 2012. It was mentioned therein that the summary of the Medical Report in the prescribed proforma (Annex. III of OM) prepared by Medical Authority to be attached to the APAR of the concerned officer.
2. It has been observed that such reports of Annual Medical Examination are being received from very few ICAS officers.
3. In order to ensure the adherence to regular Annual Medical Examination from the Year 2023-24 onwards, all ICAS officers of and above 40 years of age need to undergo Annual Medical Examination.
4. The APAR format in SPARROW shall be modified for indicating/attaching the same by the ICAS officers. In the meanwhile, all ICAS officers of and above 40 years age are advised to undergo Annual Medical Examination during the course of the year 2023-24 as per DoPT Scheme mentioned above.
