Department of Pension has recently issued orders for revising the pro-rata pension of pre-2006 Pensioners, who have not completed 33 years of service, to full pension. CPAO, which is the pension payment authority has issued instructions now to speed up the process for payment of arrears

Reasons for Difference in Method of Revison of Pre-2006 Pension between Commissioned Officers and PBORs

While, Revision of Pension of Pre-2006 Commissioned Officer Pensioners is effective from 1st January 2006 instead of 24.-09.2012, Pre-2006 PBORs (JCO/ORs) Pensioners will get benefit from 1st January 2006 to 31st June 2009, since their pension was already revised on the basis of highest pay in 5th CPC scales from July 2009
