A proforma has been devised considering various guidelines issued from time to time by Ministry of Finance for granting permission/relaxation to travel by Airlines other than Air India
In order to promote tourism in North East Region, Jammu and Kashmir and Andaman and Nicobar, Central Government Employees who are not entitled to travel by air and availing LTC to travel to these regions have been allowed to travel by Air India Flights. Now, relaxation has been given to travel by private airlines in respect of J&K
As DOPT order for allowing employees not entitled to Air Travel to travel by Air NER, Jammu and Kashmir and Andaman & Nicobar Islands (A&N) using LTC expires on 25.09.2016, this relaxation is issued till that date
Increase in number of days before which LTC advance can be obtained is on account of increase advance reservation prior to 120 days from the date of journey as against 60 days by Railways
If the Government has to compulsorily pay catering charges along with the cost of the Train Ticket, then the Train Fare in full is reimbursable under LTC
Relaxing Leave Travel Concession (LTC) rules, the Centre will now reimburse full train fare incurred by its employees on purchase of tickets for their children aged between five and 12 years.
This clarification relating to LTC has been issued relating to the doubt raised whether full Rail fare charged for Children from 5 to 12 age group for allotment of berth, will be reimbursed
Employees drawing grade pay of 5400 and above are entitled to travel by Air. All employees can travel by Air to NER, J&K and Andaman and Nicobar Islands
Aiming to increase cruise tourism, the Centre is mulling to include vacations on luxury ships under the Leave Travel Concession (LTC) scheme where government employees get their travel costs reimbursed.
The Government Employee will be reimbursed the fare incurred for completion of journey to the declared place of visit by own arrangement. This will be restricted to the fare admissible for journey by otherwise entitled mode of public transport
