Railway Board has sent Record Note of Discussions on anomalies in MACP held by Executive Directors with Federations. The discussion was held between Railway Board and the AIRF & NFIR federations on 12.10.2015.

National Federation of Indian Railwaymen has made a representation to the Railway Board stating that Loco Pilot and other category employees are given ad-hoc promotion and regular promotion is denied .

Railways has denied Family Planning Allowance to Ex-Servicemen employed in Railways. NFIR refers the matter to Railway Board and requests to allow payment of Family Planning Allowance.
Acceptance of Diploma or Degree in Engineering prescribed open market recruitment in Railways

National Federation of Indian Railwaymen-NFIR has contended that there is no designation or post of “store Pharmacists” on Indian Railways and all the pharmacists have been working in the Health Care delivery institutions/ establishments are eligible for for Grant of Hospital Patient Care Allowance. Railway Board wants the production units to furnish facts.
Introduction of paperless Unreserved ticketing through Mobile phone
Railway Board is actively engaged in the launch of unreserved ticketing through mobile phone including paperless ticketing. This will save the paper and time of the passengers.
Preparation of Railway reservation charts – Railway Board Instructions
Ministry of Railways has instructed all zonal offices of Railways to display the reservation chart of the passengers at the entrance of the station atleast 4 hours before the departure of the train. Compliance report to be sent to the Director Passenger Marketing.
House Rent Allowance of Railway Employees revised based on census 2011
Railway Employees working at Pune and Ahmedabad will now get 30% HRA as these cities crossed 50 lakh mark and upgraded to X category based on Census 2011. Also 21 cities have been upgraded from “Z” Category to “Y” Category. HRA for these cities will be 20%
Revised Railway Time Table effective from 1st Oct 2015 released
Ministry of Railways has published new revised Time Table effective from 01.10.2015. Operational halts of all Duronto trains have been converted into Commercial stoppages where no operational halts existed previously. Passengers now can also lodge complaints / suggestions through SMS on 9717630982.
